Our story

Let yourself be guided by the daily catch with original, creative, and classic fish dishes, magically conjured onto your plate by chef Marianne Pauwaert—who also holds the title of the award-winning best Flemish fish soup. Today, the kitchen is enhanced by daughter Liz, who earned her diploma in fine cuisine from the Ter Groene Poorte culinary school in Bruges. Hostess Nicole Witgeers and host Marino Pauwaert are happy to guide you in our spacious, family-style restaurant. We offer an extensive menu and profile ourselves as a fish restaurant specializing in "local fish." There is a suggestion menu and various set menus. Our wine list features a wide selection of top-quality wines. The kitchen is open from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. On Sundays, the kitchen is open until 8:00 PM and closes at 9:30 PM. Reservations are recommended during peak periods! For the sake of good communication, no seating is guaranteed without a reservation! Reservations are not possible on the terrace, as we cannot control the weather conditions. Reservations can be made between 12:00 and 13:15, in the afternoon and evening from 18:00 to 20:00, and on Sundays until 19:30! When making a reservation, we kindly ask that you adhere to the agreed-upon time. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Between Christmas and New Year's, we only work by order for takeout/catering on December 24th and 31st - see the takeout brochure. We are on holiday from January 11th to January 20th, 2026.
